You give Greenroom a Metrc API key and a dedicated Dutchie login you control. A separate read-only key covers reporting. Nothing else touches your systems.

Every manifest line arrives pre-matched, with the reasoning attached: alias table, exact match, or a shortlist. Your team taps approve. Nothing writes to Dutchie without that tap.

Verified

Greenroom executes the write, re-reads the result, and diffs it against what was approved. Every change lands in a log you can undo.

The queue is the interface. The log is the real product: every write to your catalog, who approved it, and a way back out.

Will this touch Metrc?

Read-only. Greenroom pulls incoming transfers, items, lab results, and active packages from Metrc, but never writes back to it. Dutchie stays your point-of-sale system of record.

What if it makes a mistake?

Nothing auto-commits. Every manifest line sits in an approval queue until your team taps it through, and every write is logged with the prior state, the change, and a way to undo it.

Is this AI?

The pipeline is deterministic: matching, pricing, and receiving run on rules and lookup tables, not a model. A model only steps in to suggest a match when the deterministic rules come up short, and a human confirms it either way. Confirmed matches get remembered, so the model gets asked less every week.

Is scraping competitor menus legal?

We read public menu pages, the same ones any shopper can see, with no logins and no unusual request volume. It's the same information a customer gets by opening a competitor's menu in a browser.

What happens when Dutchie changes something?

The write path monitors its own session health and pauses itself, with an alert, if something looks off. The reporting side runs on Dutchie's official read-only API keys, which is a sanctioned integration path, not a workaround.

We're switching POS someday.

The Metrc side of Greenroom, the matching engine, the alias tables, the pricing rules, is portable. Only the write connector is Dutchie-specific, and that's the part built to swap.

Who are you?

Two people: an operator who runs a licensed NYC dispensary and an engineer who builds the pipeline. We built this to fix our own receiving problem first.

Security

Your Metrc and Dutchie credentials are stored in a per-tenant, envelope-encrypted vault. The Dutchie login we use is a dedicated one you create for us, not your own, and you can revoke it at any time.

Built backstage, not in a pitch deck.

Greenroom started inside a working licensed dispensary in New York City, after the state's Metrc conversion in January 2026 turned every delivery into a fresh pile of manual reconciliation. An operator who was living that problem and an engineer who could see the shape of the fix built the first version to solve it for one store.

It's still built and run by the two of us. Boutique on purpose: we would rather get the receiving queue right for a handful of independent stores than build a platform for chains we've never worked inside of.
